The high-performance humidifier prismaAQUA is intended for use with premium devices for sleep therapy from Lowenstein. With convenient pre-heating function and optional heated breathing tube. The heatable humidifier operates in accordance with the "pass-over" principle. The air supplied is passed over the surface of warm water. This increases the relative humidity and the temperature of the air flow. Heating capacity can be set on the therapy device in stages. These settings can be adjusted from 1-5 with the + and - buttons on the device when it is connected to the PrismaSMART device.

Cleaning your Lowenstein Prisma Smart CPAP device and its components is important to ensure that it functions properly and remains hygienic. Here are the steps you should follow:

Daily Cleaning:

Unplug the Device: Before cleaning, always unplug the CPAP device from the power source.

Clean the Mask:

Disassemble the mask components (such as the cushion, headgear, and frame) according to the manufacturer's instructions. Wash the mask components in warm soapy water using a mild, non-scented detergent. Rinse thoroughly to remove any soap residue. Allow the mask components to air dry out of direct sunlight.

Clean The Tubing:

Disconnect the tubing from the CPAP machine and mask. Wash the tubing in warm soapy water using a mild, non-scented detergent. You can use a tube brush to clean the inside of the tubing. Rinse thoroughly and hang the tubing in a clean, dry area.

Weekly Cleaning:

Clean the Humidifier:

Remove the water chamber from the humidifier. Wash the water chamber in warm soapy water using a mild, non-scented detergent. Rinse thoroughly and allow it to air dry out of direct sunlight.

Clean the Filter:

Check the filter for any dust or debris. If it is discolored or dirty, replace it with a new one according to the manufacturer's guidelines.

Monthly Cleaning:

Inspect the Components:

Check all components (mask, tubing, humidifier, and filter) for signs of wear and tear. Replace any damaged parts as needed.

Additional Tips:

Use Distilled Water: If your CPAP machine has a humidifier, use distilled water to prevent mineral deposits from building up in the chamber. Avoid Harsh Cleaners: Only use mild, non-scented detergents to clean your CPAP components. Avoid using bleach, alcohol, or strong chemicals. Check the Manufacturer's Instructions: Always refer to the specific cleaning instructions provided by the manufacturer for your Lowenstein Prisma Smart CPAP device. Keep a Regular Schedule: Establish a routine for cleaning your CPAP components to ensure they remain in good condition and free from germs. Remember to consult your device's user manual or contact the manufacturer if you have any specific questions or concerns about cleaning your Lowenstein Prisma Smart CPAP device and its components.
