How to use the Remmers Home Sleep Testing Device

The Remmers Sleep Recorder is used to record diagnostic indicators of sleep apnea, follow up on the titration of oral dental appliances, monitor the effectiveness of CPAP therapy, and to detect periodic leg movements. The Remmers test is particularly sensitive and is especially beneficial for individuals with moderate to low pretest probabilities or those experiencing sleep difficulties.

How to use the ApneaLink™ Air Home Sleep Testing Device

This video explains the entire home sleep testing process, from start to finish, with ApneaLink Air from ResMed. It demonstrates exactly how to set up the ApneaLink Air device once you get home, and explains how to use it.

Returning Your Device

Thank you for participating in the in-home sleep test provided by The Sleep Institute. To ensure a smooth return process, please follow the instructions outlined below for In-person Pick up/ Drop off and Remote Testing. 

In-Person Pick-Up and Drop Off

If you received the device in person, kindly drop-off the device the following morning between 8 AM and 12 PM to ensure our staff has adequate time to sanitize the device for the next patient.

Remote Testing

For patients who are out of town or live in rural areas and were mailed  a testing device, please see the following instructions. 

For Remote Studies (Canada Post Drop-off): Packaging: Place the sleep test device and all accompanying equipment back into the original box in which it was delivered.

Retrieve Your Shipping Label: Visit the following link to generate your shipping label: Return Label Link. Canada Post Return ID Number: PR138332

Printing Your Label: Ensure your printer is ready and loaded with a standard 8.5" x 11" sheet of paper. Click on the provided link to generate and print your shipping label.

Attach the Label: Securely affix the printed label to the outside of the package, making sure it is clearly visible.

Drop-off at Canada Post: You can drop off the package at any Canada Post location. Please remember to keep the receipt provided by Canada Post as proof of shipment.
